The Whitley Awards Ceremony 2011 took place on Wednesday 11th May at the Royal Geographical Society in London.  The event was hosted by writer and broadcaster John McCarthy.

The opportunity to interview our Whitley Award Finalists and Winners for press and radio is available every year both before and after the Whitley Awards.  We are always happy to hear from journalists and writers, and calls from editors wishing to feature our winners are particularly welcome.

2011 WHITLEY AWARDS

2011 Whitley Award Winners - 11th May 2011

Seven winners competed for the Whitley Gold Award of £60,000 - donated by WWF-UK - and we are delighted to announce the winner is Dr Rachel Graham for her work to protect Belize's sharks, crucial to healthy seas and for the country's economically important tourism industry
