Winners of The Whitley Awards 2009 Receive their Awards!
Visit the press room to see photos of the six Whitley Award Winners for 2009 receiving their prizes from HRH The Princess Royal. Each of the finalists were interviewed face-to-face on Mon 11th May, and received their Whitley Awards on Wed 13th May. The top prize, the Whitley Gold Award, worth £60,000 over two years, was won by Gladys Kalema-Zikusoka for her work with gorillas and communities in Uganda. Congratulations to you all!
